Tayo Ayinde, the Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor, was recently sworn in as the Director General of the 2023 elections of Tinubu/Shetima as President and vice president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The appointment is also saddled with the Re-election of Sanwo-Olu/Hamzat as the Governor and Deputy Governor of Lagos state.
Tayo Ayinde who is popular known as “Buffalo” in the political world was the Director General of the Independent Campaign Group, ICG, in 2018 that saw the victory *at* the polls of the incumbent Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Obafemi Hamzat as Governor and Deputy Governor of Lagos state.
He is the best man for the job again, he demonstrated leadership, managerial and administrative skills at the 2018 elections as the Director General of the ICG.
The event was highly attended by APC party stalwarts and leaders, who also expressed happiness at Buffalo’s appointment.
In attendance was Cardinal James Odumbaku popularly known as “BABA ETO”, AIG Odumosu, Hon Funmi Tejuosho, Hon (Prince) Bayo Oshiyemi and many others.
Baba Eto, who spoke on behalf of the leaders expressed joy and happiness on the members appointed by the APC Party leadership to oversee the 2023 polls, he further assured all party faithfuls that it was a done deal for the party at federal and state elections.
Tayo Ayinde was absent at the event because of the loss of His wife, Princess Adedoyin, he has also been absent at so many social functions that he was billed to attend for respect in honor of his wife.
Many are confident of the constitution of the ICG, that they will deliver at the 2023 polls, just as it did at the 2018 polls.
