The crescent moon was not sighted in Saudi Arabia. Therefore, Eid Al Fitr will be celebrated on Wednesday, 10th April 2024.”

Recall that the Sultan of Sokoto and President General of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Sa’ad Abubakar, in a statement yesterday, had called on Nigerian Muslims to look out for the new moon marking the beginning of Shawwal 1445.

Therefore, despite the recent development from Saudi Arabia, Nigerian Muslims are expected to wait for the announcement of the Sultan of Sokoto later in the day, on whether the new moon was sighted anywhere in the country or not.
