The Lagos Mainland Local Government’ primary election of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to choose the party flagbearer for the forthcoming Local Government election which was held on Saturday 29th May, 2021 has been peacefully concluded and in favour of the incumbent Chairman, Hon. Mrs Omolola Essien. Hon. Essien floors her contestants, former house of Assembly member, Hon. Abdul-Yekin Adekunle Ademoye and Mr S. Ojo to an overwhelming margin as the good people of Lagos Mainland Local Government decides.
The election which was tagged as the most peaceful and organized of elections in Lagos Mainland Local Government in recent time witnessed absolutely no casualty whatsoever as all the security agencies, the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) , Lagos State Safety Corps (LNSC), local vigilantes to mention a few brought in their A games. The shadow poll which held at the Nine Wards of the Local Government held simultaneously and peacefully without any hitches or rancour.
The Ward Returning Officer then proceeded to the Local Government Collation Center for official collation and announcement.
Hon.Mrs Omolola Essien, is a young innocent lady who graduated as an Educationist at the foremost University of Lagos( UNILAG), got certified as a teacher and later became an excellent administrator with accumulative years of experience.
