Prince Michael Atobatele Foundation Gives Out Empowerment Gadgets To Beneficiaries

Yearly, the Atobatele family hosts several events in memory of their beloved son and brother, Prince Michael Atobatele  who left this world at 22 in 2016. A Yoruba adage says “Ka ku l’omode ko yeni, o san ju k’adagba lai lediye irana” meaning to die young graciously is better than getting too old without a positive integrity.

Ever since this lovely son and brother of the Atobateles left this world, his parents and siblings mostly led by Princess Toyin Atobatele thought it expedient to give him a remarkable and indelible memoriam which is now on its fourth edition.

This year, the Prince Michael Atobatele Foundation (PMAF) held its 4th Year Summit/Empowerment programme for the year 2020 which was tagged ENTREPRENEURSHIP, WHAT NEXT?

The event targeted at promoting the ideology of people rising from nothing to something was hosted at De-Rembrandt Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos State on the 13th of September, 2020 and as a mark of honour for the young lad, people from all walks of life stormed the venue in COVID-19 protocol acceptable numbers. It was indeed a beehive of activities even as invited important dignitaries made their physical appearances.

The event had a panel discussion on the programme’s theme anchored by the trio of Mrs. Damilola Odukoya who is the Chief Executive Officer of Beacon and a business coach; Humphrey Enyinma, and Abiodun Folawiyo, the Chief Executive Officer of Shoe Speed.

After the discussion , several empowerment gadgets such as sewing machines and seeing kits were distributed to beneficiaries who were all happy and very appreciative of the opportunity emanating from the foundation.

The beneficiaries praised the efforts of Mrs. Toyin Atobatele towards immortalizing Prince Michael.  According to them, this move goes a long way to provide poverty alleviation materials for people who are in need of such equipments to run their businesses. It was a joyous mother, who despite missing her dear son still went ahead in creating avenues to put smiles on the faces of people.

Prince Michael Atobatele popularly known as Uzii was born on the 23rd of June, 1994 to Prince Abolade Atobatele and Princess Toyin Arobatele. The bubbly young man attended Mind Builders Nursery and Primary School based in Omole Estate in Lagos before proceeding to Atlantic Hall Secondary School, Poka in Epe, Lagos State. The very educationally aggressive Prince Michael  went further in his intellectual pursuits to attend the prestigious Gloucestersire University in the United Kingdom for his A’ Levels. Uzii then graduated in Business and Human Resources Management from the University of Hertfordshire in UK before heading home for his compulsory NYSC service.

The late Prince Michael Atobatele was a sport loving young lad whose major passion was football, hence the annual organization of the PMAF Soccer Competition. Everyone that attended the event were very grateful to God and the Atobatele Family for a well organized remembrance event anchored by PMAF even as they wish Prince Michael Atobatele a continuous peaceful rest in the bosom of God.
