The Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce has hailed Chevron Nigeria Limited for its various social investment initiatives in Nigeria and the African continent.
NACC President, Dame Adebola-Williams stated this during the Chamber’s breakfast meeting themed, ‘Chevron’s strategic social investment – Supporting Nigerian Institutions’, which was held in Lagos.
Adebola-Williams noted that Chevron had been a strategic investor and player in the Nigerian Oil & Gas Sector for several decades.

She thanked the company for consistently supporting the activities and programmes of the Chamber over the years.
She said, “It is on record that Chevron has partnered, in the past, with the US Agency for International Development and the Niger Delta Partnership Initiative Foundation on a joint project to support a portfolio of programs designed to address socioeconomic challenges in the Niger Delta region.
The Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta was also incorporated in Nigeria to implement and support these programmes. In 2014, Chevron committed an additional $40m million in funding to the NDPI through 2019.
