News portals are created for different reasons and for different forms of information dissemination. While some news platforms were formed to celebrate and appreciate the giant strides of certain individuals, governments and corporate institutions, some portals were created to destroy the good image, philanthropic gestures and national developmental attainments. Obviously, saharareporters falls on the latter category.
While a patriotic citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Taiwo Afolabi is doing everything practically in his capacity to uplift the image of his beloved country, establishing vital business ventures to cater for the employment needs of Nigerian youths and expatriates alike, his selfless efforts at transforming the Nigerian economy is being frustrated by this barefaced news portal called saharareporters. It is quite sad that a seemingly news agency like this, founded and run by an ex-presidential contestant in the country could descend so low as to tarnishing the good image of an altruistic business tycoon, a boardroom and a multi-faceted entrepreneur. Once again, Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, the founder and Chairman of Sifax Group of Companies has taken thousands of Nigerian youths out of the labour market and give them sources of daily, weekly and monthly incomes for their survival.
Recently, saharareporters falsefully reported that one of the viable and nationally reputable companies of Dr. Afolabi, Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO Plc) was involved in a drug peddling carte. This is absolutely sacrilegious, destructive and profane. How on earth will a company, owned by a man, who has so much unflinching passion for the Nigerian brand, get itself involved in such calamitous and devilish union. It is simply fallacious. SAHCO has invested hugely on the Nigerian economy to disrepute its comprehensively positive stance in the global firmament of business. However, the company (SAHCO) has responded swiftly to the nefarious story. Below is the release as circulated across board by the company.

Let me say without mincing words that the report is FALSE and it is only a figment of the imagination of the reporter. Although, we serve as a gateway to Imports and Exports in Nigeria and we are proud to provide such world class facility in Nigeria, however, our role does not include verification, checking the content of cargo as alleged in this report. It is therefore fiendish and cruel to insinuate we run a drug cartel.
Also, we want to make it clear to the public that all Government agencies, NDLEA, DSS, Quarantine, Airforce etc have unfettered access to our warehouse where they carry out their duties without our interference. It is therefore important to note that this is not the first-time suspects will be arrested within our facilities and we always cooperate with the agencies while they carry out their investigation without shielding anyone involved be it our staff, contractor or business partner. As a responsible company, we make available the latest technology to assist Government agencies to fight any form of crime within our facilities and we will not relent in doing that. We hereby advise the public to ignore this FAKE news that is being peddled by saharareporters.”
